Here is our birth story....for those of you who want to read.
My labor was induced. We went in Sunday night, May 1st at 6pm. They started me out on Cervadil, a drug to thin out my cervix. Then the dr. came in and broke my water at 8:30 am on Monday, May 2nd. They then started me on the pictocin. The contractions came on strong and hard after that.... very regular with the pictocin and very intense. I got an epidural at 10ish. We labored and waited for me to dialate. It took me until about 5pm to dialate to a 5. Once I got that far it seemed like I moved along a lot faster. At 7:15/7:30 the dr. checked me again and said it's time and we pushed. Only for about 30 minutes...maybe 40 minutes and we got to meet our beautiful baby girl at 7:57pm. We got to snuggle her for about an hour and then they took her to the nursery and Caleb got to bathe her and such. I was really shakey after the baby came and was a little afraid to hold her. So I let the grandma's and grandpa and Caleb hold her bunches. I shook for about 1 hour or 2. The nurses and everyone said it was normal...horomones/drugs/so many changes. Then my blood pressure went way up and I got a fever and then I freaked out a bit. It just hit me....this was around 10:30ish. I just cried and wanted to snuggle our sweet baby, but didn't feel good at all. Caleb was really great taking care of her and he just loves snuggling with her. She does not cry much (yet) and is so sweet. The nurses were oh so great and I calmed down. We were able to get my blood pressure down and fever down and such. I was feeling much better by midnight.

Hillary, congratulations to you both! I have to admit, I'm jealous of all that hair!
I'm glad to hear you're feeling better. Being sick just after giving birth is the pits. I hope she continues to be an easy baby. Easy, fat babies are wonderful.
