A day in the Life of Bear

I haven't done a post on Bear in a while. We still love him dearly (even though he did rip our BRAND NEW comforter today...a little grumpy about that). I thought you would all like to see what Bear loves to do everyday. He's a delight and I am excited to raise our little girl with a dog. I think Bear will be very protective of her.

He usually gets up in the morning with me to go outside and go potty. Then he goes straight back to bed to cuddle with Caleb until he wakes up a little later.

He loves to sit by the back door and sit in the sunshine in the morning. On this morning he grabbed one of his toys and was laying with it.

He loves to sit out on the deck and see what everyone in the neighborhood is up to. He has been loving the oncoming of spring and sunshine.

Here he is rolling in the grass in the backyard.

He has been finding sticks in the backyard, and he likes to bring them inside.

He takes lots of naps throughout the day too. He naps in his little dog bed or on our bed.

this is just a cute picture

We just love this little puppy!

watching Bear

Our friends Sara & Spencer watched Bear while we were out with my parents. They have a little boy, Saylor, and he and Bear got along great. When we were picking up Bear we decided to stay for a bit and play some games. Saylor sat on the couch and was watching a movie. Bear got right up by him and snuggled up for the movie.

They said Bear was protective of Saylor. That morning Sara was in the shower & Spencer was watching TV. Saylor shut himself in his room and Sara heard Bear scratching on Saylor's door. Bear knew he was in there and wanted to make sure he wasn't stuck in there. So cute! I am glad to know that Bear gets along well with kids. I think he and our little baby girl will be best of friends :)

Trunk or Treat for Bear

Bear's Doggie Day Care did a trunk or treat the day before Halloween. They all had their cars decorated and gave out dog treats. All the dogs were in costumes. It was a fun time. It was so dark that I didn't get any good pictures though. This is the best I got of bear. He is a bat....he had little bat wings on that had eyes.

Bear Update

I know some of you are having Bear withdraws because he hasn't been on the blog for a while. Here's what is going on with Bear.

-He is 6.6 pounds now
-He got to spend time at Grandma & Grandpa Landon's house while we were in Island Park
-He got to spend time at Grandma Cory's house while we were so busy with the store concerts and gallery show.
-He still loves walks and knows when you say the word. One time he was laying on the bed and I whispered to him "do you want to go on a walk?", his ears perked up and tail started wagging. He jumped off the bed and just kept jumping and wagging his tail. He was so excited.
-He brings us his food dish when he is hungry now.
-He is still delightful
-Sometimes he gets to go to work with Caleb and the store. He loves it! But sometimes growls at people walking by.

Strutt Your Mutt

This year we decided to participate in Strutt Your Mutt. It's an event to help homeless pets in utah. It's a little 1 mile run/walk with your dog. We saw some really adorable dogs there and Bear got this cute little bandana.

Doggy Day Care

Bear has a picture on his doggy day care's blog. He gets to go there about once a week. He loves playing with the other puppies and dogs. I love that he comes home so tired. He gets a lot of energy out on the days that he goes there.

Bear Update

Still adorable. We never thought we could like a dog so much, but he is such a delight to have around. Here are some things we love about him....

-he likes to sleep more now days. he will sleep anywhere there is a blanket, rug, dog bed, stuffed toy or lap.

-he still plays with his treats before he eats them.

-he has started hiding treats also. He will hide them and try and cover them up with his little nose. It's so adorable.

-sometimes he likes to be held like a baby...but not very often.

-he is excited everytime we come home...even if we just go out to get the mail. His whole body wags with excitement.

-if either of us sleeps in, he likes to snuggle in bed with us until we get up. he also likes to get under the covers.

-he loves to sit in the sunshine

-he likes to watch the toilet flush

-sometimes he tuckers himself out doing not so desirable things....like tearing up paper.

-he likes his belly rubbed and he will roll over so you can rub it.

-he is afraid of the vent covers in our house. If you are playing catch with him and the ball lands on the vent, he will not get the ball. He will stand as far away as possible and stretch to see if he can get it without touching the vent.

stats:
-black hair...has some grey behind his ears
-black eyes
-still has one baby tooth...we call it his shark tooth. It's his left canine and it's so sharp
-a little over 5 lbs.
-100% adorable
