1. Blonde Grizzly won an award with the local magazine City Weekly. We got Best Geek Art. You can see the article here.
Here is what is says:
It takes a rare gallery to display a children’s figure breathing fire and scorching all in its path, with the clever title “St. Elmo’s Fire” below it; a small sample of the twisted pop-culture art you’ll find on 400 South. Replacing a photographer’s office, the married duo of Hillary and Caleb Barney brought in artists from around the country mixed with locals, all intent to re-envision your childhood memories. Featuring limited editions and custom prints, not to mention clothing and accessories far better and cheaper than you’d find in a trendy mall shop, the place promises to become a fixture for years to come. 15 E. 400 South, 801-355-9075, BlondeGrizzly.com

2. We had another gallery show. This time it was Potter Press. I loved their show and had a lot of fun getting to know them while they were setting up.

3. Bear had a birthday party to go to. My friend Jessica's dog, Penny, turned 2 this year. So she had a party. Bear was a lot smaller than the other dogs...so he mostly just stayed on our laps and watched the other dogs.
4. Bear and I went to Idaho for 5 days for some much needed family time and relaxing. Caleb had to stay home and hold down the fort.
5. Last weekend I got to spend with my sisters. I went up to Logan for crafts and fun. Ashley and Melanie both live up there now. On friday night we made cheesecloth ghosts. They were a lot of fun and turned out great.
I didn't get a pic of the finished ghosts (they are now hanging at Blonde Grizzly), but this is what they looked like. photo credit: country living magazine

I stayed the night at Mel's and then we did "Sweat for a Pet" 1 mile walk with Bear for the Cache Valley Humane Society. Ashley was able to count this as volunteer hours for her job. It was a fun and the perfect weather.
6. Bear is still adorable!

I need the details on how to make the ghosts- they look so cute!
Hilly- You should submit this photo of Bear to the Desire to Inspire blog - they have a series called "Pets on Furniture". I think it's so adorable! http://www.desiretoinspire.net/blog/2010/10/18/mondays-pets-on-furniture-part-2.html
