2nd Anniversary

I can't believe another year has gone by. We celebrated our anniversary a little early this year. It's not officially 2 years until June 14. This weekend we went up to Midway and stayed at the Homestead. It was nice to getaway for a bit and fun to be up in the mountains. It's so beautiful up there.

Caleb's panoramic shot of the valley. I put it together in photoshop. I kind of like the lines it created from shot to shot.

No trip would be complete without this classic shot.

At the Homestead, they have a this crater you can swim in. It is a 55-foot tall, beehive-shaped limestone rock that nature has hollowed out and filled with 90° to 96° water. The water was so blue and warm. Perfect for swimming. I would love to come back here in the winter. It would be great to get in when it is really cold and snowy outside.

We ate at the Cuckoo Cafe. They had an excellent Spinach Feta Soup.

We saw Bridal Veil Falls on our way home.

One time for our (Russ and I) anniversary (February 12) we went and stayed near Homestead and went there for diner (we didn't know about the great swimning). We had dinner and then saw all these CRAZY people out in the water in the dead of winter. We thought they were crazy, but before long we rented suits and were in there ourselves. It really is nice during the winter.

Happy Anniversay!!!! (I haven't forgotten about your wedding present - it's just alittle slow incoming.)

Yea! I love the homestead too. You will definitely have to go back to the crater. I have been a few times scuba diving. Maybe we can go swim there for FMOM!
Happy Anniversary!! Where did the 2 years go?
