House progress

Our house is moving along.
We had a hole

then foundation

now they have started framing

They say once they start framing, we should be about 60 working days out from completing the home. We are getting excited. I think we will be in sometime in September. Caleb says we will be lucky to be in after Halloween...we will see who is right. But I am pretty sure it's me :)

We sold our house in Layton. We have 1 week until it closes. We have an apartment in Bountiful that we will be renting for the summer. It has a pool...so we are excited about that. We move in to our apartment on July 6. We will be homeless for a couple weeks. We are headed to island park for the first week with Caleb's family. Then Lily and I will stay in rexburg after that until july 4th. We will then stay at Caleb's mom's house for a couple days until we can get in to our apartment. I am pretty excited to get settled again...even if it is just for 3 months.

swimming

we set up the little kiddie pool in the back yard and lily loved playing in the water. Bear loved drinking the water.

Lily's toe

Lily dropped a can on her toe and got a serious black and blue toe. It looked like it hurt so bad...poor little thing. Her toe nail fell off this weekend and it's looking much better. hoping for a new toenail soon :)

caleb turns 30

Caleb's 30th birthday was this year. We did a low key dinner at home and presents. Then that weekend, we went to Wendover with our friends Doug & Jamie.
what a cute smile in this pic

Lily & Bear

I just love these pictures of lily & Bear. Lily is eating a graham cracker and Bear really wants some. She shares all of her treats with him.

Printing at the Mandate Press

I met up with Mindy to check out Ben Webster's shop, the Mandate Press. They were doing an event there where they had a gal traveling with her letterpress and setting up shop, letting people use the letterpress. It was fun.

Tulip festival

Lily and I met up with Mindy, Cali and Bev and went to the tulip festival. It was so fun to catch up...and I loved seeing Cali and Lily together.I LOVED spending time with Mindy & Bev too.

At Grandma Landon's

My posts are a little out of order here, but I am getting them done...whew. The week before mothers day, Lily and I went to Idaho for the week. We had a great time as always.

we watched movies in grandma's little chair
we colored, relaxed and ate crayons all at the same time
and we slept with our bum in the air :)

Race for the Cure

We did the Race for the Cure this year with my family. It's a fun tradition we like to all do together and it's fun to all be together for a weekend. Last year we missed it because I had just had Lily. Here we all are, ready for the race :)

Lily's party

We had a little party in the park with the cousins and family. It ended up being a great time...but nothing went just as I had planned.

so we had planned to have it at a liberty park in salt lake. When I went there to set up, there was an event there. Some outdoor concert & lots of hacky sack going on. Any other day...this park would have been great. It's a huge park and has tons of tables and grills and such. Even on a busy saturday, they never all fill up. I have never had a problem before....so I didn't even think of reserving a spot. Though I kept wishing I had. We were going to cook hamburgers and hot dogs. The party started at 6pm. I went at 4:30 to start setting up. I had everything in the car for the party, the food, cake, decorations, etc. Lily's birthday outfit. I couldn't find parking just for me....and found some tables but no grills. So I called caleb, we decided we needed to find a new park and we still needed a grill. Caleb went to the store see if he could buy one of those charcoal grills. Well, he would still have to put the grill together and get coals heating for the party....no time for that. And we still didn't have a spot for the party. So at 5:50, we decided on Sugarhouse park....no tables or grills, but a beautiful park. Caleb brought 1 table from the store to put the food on. we had no chairs and no grill. Caleb picked up $5 pizzas at little ceasars. we ate pizza and the fruit and salads that I had bought. There was no time to put up all the decorations and I forgot to put lily in her cute "1" shirt, but she was wearing one of my favorite dresses, so that's okay. I was totally stressing, but it all worked out. No one seemed to mind that we changed locations. I get really worked up when I plan things and they don't work out just as planned....I need to work on that :) Whew..the party wasn't just as I had imagined, but turned out to be a success in the end. we had a great time. I sure LOVE that lily so much!
