with cousins
Last night we headed up to Logan to see the Hays family and Ashley. Lily loves her cousins. She just laughs at Oli when he plays with her. It's so cute. We had a great time and are going to miss them greatly when they move...have I said yet? they are moving to Iowa :( Far away, but I will be excited to visit them.
new bike
Adam and Jessica came over for dinner the other day. They went in with Paula and Leon on a gift for Lily's first birthday and got her this darling bike. She is a little small for it still, but she loves it. Just smiles while she is sitting on it.
Playing in the sand
Lily went to her cousins house last week and got to play in the sandbox with her cousin Ali. It looks like she had a great time.
Henry
We watched Henry for a couple hours last month. He was delightful and Lily was so excited to have a kid come and play with her. When Lily went down for a nap, he found one of her binkies and decided to lay down and read a book.
Letterpress at the Mandate Press
The Mandate press was hosting a traveling letterpress artist. She had a trailer with her press in it and was visiting different cities and raising awareness of letterpress. Mindy met Lily and I there and we had a great time.
my birthday
This year I turned 32...seems so old to me. I still think I feel like I am in my 20s....late 20s, but not 30s. I had a good birthday this year. Caleb's mom watched lily for us and we went to the new Museum on Natural history, had a nice lunch and went to a movie. It was great. Caleb made me breakfast in the morning and my mom had sent me balloons.

House for sale again
We have decided since we have a couple months until our new house is done being built that we would try and sell our current house again. We were planning on renting it out, but decide it might be nice to just not have that hassel. We will see how things go. We are going to give it about 6 months. If it doesn't sell in that time, then we will go back to our plan on renting. I have heard the market is much better this year...so fingers crossed that we will sell it.
Jazz game
We took Lily to another Jazz game. Our real estate agent gave us some tickets. It was a later game...started at 8:30. Lily did great. She enjoyed watching the people and we had some red mango frozen yogurt that she loved. We were out very late and she only got fussy towards the end. The game went in to overtime (I am starting to think I cause overtimes....I have been 3 games this year and all have gone in to at least one overtime).
Chelsee
Since January, Chelsee has been coming to our house T-F 10am-5pm (and more if I am busy with work and she can stay). We have loved getting to know her and appreciate all she has done for us. She is moving next week...and we are so sad to see her go. Lily LOVED her. She would get so excited when she would see Chelsee come in the morning. Thanks Chelsee for all you have done. Good luck with the move.

Fa la la
At the beginning of every year is my busiest time of work. I am working on Christmas cards for Shutterfly. Kind of weird timing, but that is just how it works. I put in extra hours and just work on Christmas for about 3 months straight. We are at the tail end of our first round of holiday so I am excited to get back to normal for a little bit.

Lily 11 months

Wow! I can't believe she is already 11 months old. We LOVE having her around and can't imagine life without her. Some things about her at 11 months:
-17 lbs. 6 oz.
-repeats dada mama sometimes...but I don't think she knows what she is saying yet.
-the other day Caleb was pretending he was snoring and she repeated the snoring sound. It was so funny.
-She loves doing raspberries
-After I am done working, Lily and I usually turn some music on and dance. She loves to dance and gets so excited when music is on. This isn't the best movie, but it's pretty cute.
-likes opening and closing doors. she could do this for at least 30 minutes.
-she likes to do things herself
-puts lids on and off
-packs and unpacks things...mostly unpacks :)
-loves books
-she has started pointing
-she is very particular about things. here she is feeding bear puffs, but she has to make sure she is putting the puffs on the lid.
Easter
We were lucky this year...we got to see 2 grandma's for easter and do 2 easter egg hunts. We were still in Logan at the Hays' in the morning and then we went to Caleb's moms house later in the day.
Lily and I blew bubbles while every else hunted for eggs and Hays house.

At grandma Cory's house...lily mostly just liked to eat the eggs.

Baby Animal Days
We were so excited to go to Baby Animal Days in Logan. It was soo busy there we didn't get to see all of the animals because the lines were so long. We had a great time though. We got to hold bunnies and see pigs and be with family. It was fun.

House fell through
So we should have been moving this weekend, but the sale fell through. We were buying the house from a flipper. In the buying process, we had a list of repairs for him to do. Some biggish things, some smaller things. Big things like....the hot water didn't work, the roof on the addition had some soft spots, etc. Small things like the breaker box had some empty spots and we wanted him to put blanks in there, etc. We didn't expect him to fix all of the small things, but thought we would submit everything because he's a contractor and these things would be easy for him to do. We sent the list to him and we didn't hear back from him. Our agent had tried to contact him and got some very vague answers from him here and there. We were approaching our due dilligence deadline and needed to do something or we were in the contract to buy the house as is or lose our earnest money. We sent him an addendum stating that we would give him a couple more days to respond, but if we did not hear from him we are out of the contract. Well, my agent contacted him and his agent and we never heard from him again. So....I am sort of glad. The fact that he was being so vague and weird about everything made me think there were bigger issues with the house that he found and isn't saying anything about. We did not get that house and that is okay.
Because...we found another house. A new construction house. We are so excited about it. We sign papers and such next week sometime, so nothing is official yet. Once papers are signed they said 3-5 months and our house will be finished. We get to pick out flooring and cabinets and such. Lots of fun. Anyway, that is the house update, I will post more about it when we are more official :)
