6 weeks in her knit outfit

My sister's mother in law, Jackie Hays, makes the most beautiful knit and crochet outfits. When I found out we were having a baby, I knew I needed some of her items. I commissioned her to make a couple things for Lily. This is the first one that she fits in. She looks so cute!

In Idaho for a Week

I went to Idaho for a week. I had a deadline for Shutterfly and knew I needed to get a lot of work done. So I went to Idaho so my mom and dad could help me out with Lily and I could work. We kept them busy, but we had a great time.

The first weekend we were there, the Hays and Ashley were there. It was fun to spend time with them. The Hays just got a dog, Sancho. He is the sweetest dog. I had bear with me and Bear was a bit of a bully. He had to put Sancho in his place I guess and Sancho just put up with him. Sancho was more protective when Lily and I were around. He is pretty protective of us. Sancho decided he liked Bear's bed while he was there. It was cute how he tried to fit in the bed. One of the days, we had left Bear home and everyone else went out. Ben had Sancho and they came home before everyone else. When they got home, they went downstairs for a bit. While they were downstairs, Bear grabbed a pair of my mom's shoes and put them in his bed. Somehow he got a matching pair of shoes. He didn't chew them up, we think he just put them in there so Sancho wouldn't get in his bed. So funny!



Saturday, we had a family garage sale at the storage units. It was fun. It reminded me of when we were kids. One of the things I remember most about growing in my family was working together. We were always doing projects and helping mom and dad out with work. I think it taught me a lot about being a hard worker and it was a great way to spend time with the family.


Saturday night we went to the Landon's for Kinsley's 10th birthday party. It was a nice party and I can't believe she is already 10!


The next week was pretty mellow and I got lots of work done. It was so nice to have my mom and dad help out for the week. I couldn't have made my deadline without them.

Les Mis

My parents have season tickets to the plays in SLC. This month it was Les Mis and we got to go with them. This was the first time we have left Lily for a long period of time. Grandma Cory (Caleb's mom) came over and watched her. They cuddled all night long and had a great time I think. We had a fun time at the play and it was nice to get away from the house for a little bit. Thanks for the night out Mom and Dad!

1 month

Lily is 1 month old already. I can't believe how the time flies.

We are sure are enjoying her. Some things about Lily at 1 month.
8 lbs. & 21 inches.
starting to look around & make eye contact
smiles in her sleep & sometimes will laugh in her sleep
I am pretty sure she loves Bear
she is very cuddly and loves to be held
she likes her pacifier
her neck is getting so strong. she is starting to hold her head up
doesn't mind noise. she loves background noise and isn't bothered by Bear's barking
