Oliver's 5th Birthday

This weekend we went up to Idaho for Oliver's Birthday. He had a pigeon themed party. He loves the Pigeon books by Mo Willems. There was even a Pigeon pinata that his mom and dad made him.

It's always fun to go home for a couple days. I love seeing family and just being home, not having to worry about anything. It's always so relaxing there. Thanks for everything this weekend mom and dad. We had a great time. Happy Birthday Oliver.

Daffodils

I absolutely love daffodils, and we are lucky enough to get them every year. I can't believe Spring is here and the flowers are starting to pop up. I forget every year where I have my tulips and daffodils. It's always a fun surprise.

What we've been up to...

So it's been a while since I last updated. Here's what we have been up to:

-I went to the event Art & Soup with my little sister Ashley. It was great to see her and hang out. She lives in Provo, but we don't get to see each other very often. Thanks to Mindy for the tickets.

-Caleb & I have been playing Trivial Pursuit. I actually won a game last night!! He usually wins.
-Our taxes are done!
-We've been doing a little yard work. The weather is starting to warm up around here, so it's nice to be outside. (I am still counting on another snowstorm though. This is too good to be true.)
-I made these adorable booties and blanket for a friend of mine who is having a baby. I've been waiting to post them until I gave them away.


-Caleb and I finally saw Slumdog Millionare. I loved it! Such a great movie.
-I started working on my quilt again. I am still a ways from being done, but I am getting closer.

That's about it. We are sort of boring these days. I'm excited for the warm weather!!

Small improvements

So we are making small improvements at the Barney household. New door knobs!!! I know, really exciting. Caleb wasn't convinced that new door knobs would make that much of a difference, but I think after he saw them side by side, he was sold. We now have 3 brand new brushed nickel door knobs. This is going to be kind of a slow transition. Door knobs are kind of expensive....but we are on our way. Only 9 more to go.

Sushi Friday

Centerville has a new Sushi restaurant. It's called Fuji Sushi. Myself and some co-workers decided to try it out last Friday for lunch. It's a cute little restaurant and they have little rooms that the booths are in. Here we are eating our sushi.
